We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our high-frequency trading division in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will work on the development and maintenance of proprietary software for equity options analytics and execution. Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and testing of backend algorithms for equity options pricing and volatility modeling.
- Collaborate with the data science team to clean and structure large datasets for market analysis.
- Maintain and optimize existing Python and C++ codebases used in our trading simulation engines.
- Participate in code reviews and agile sprint planning to ensure software delivery meets strict market latency requirements.
- Document technical specifications and trading logic for junior team members.
- Identify and resolve bugs in financial data pipelines to ensure accurate option chain generation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with C++ is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of database structures (SQL) and API integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to debugging complex systems.
- Willingness to learn about financial markets, specifically equity options and derivatives trading strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
