Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using Go/Python on AWS/GCP
- Lead incident response during peak global traffic windows (10 PM - 6 AM EST)
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Mentor junior engineers through virtual whiteboarding sessions
- Contribute to open-source projects during core development hours
- Automate infrastructure-as-code using Terraform/Ansible
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in distributed systems and cloud architecture
- Expertise in container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker)
- Strong background in observability tools (Datadog/Prometheus)
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to work independently during off-peak hours
