Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and validation of equity options market data.
- Monitor and analyze daily trading volumes and volatility trends to support junior trading desks.
- Create and maintain financial dashboards and reports using SQL and Excel to visualize market movements.
- Collaborate with the quantitative research team to identify patterns in equity pricing data.
- Prepare summary documents for senior stakeholders on daily market performance.
- Learn and apply financial modeling concepts to real-world trading scenarios.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen interest in the stock market and equity options.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and basic SQL knowledge.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new tools quickly.
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications (e.g., Series 7/63) upon hiring.
