Role Overview:
As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be the bridge between raw data and actionable trading insights. You will ensure data integrity, assist in the development of automated reporting tools, and contribute to the accuracy of our volatility models.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large datasets related to equity options, including Open Interest, Volume, and Implied Volatility.
- Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of internal reporting dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Perform basic statistical analysis to identify patterns and anomalies in market data.
- Collaborate with the trading desk to understand data requirements and deliver timely reports.
- Document data processes and contribute to the optimization of our data pipelines.
- Monitor market news and events to understand their potential impact on options pricing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- No prior professional experience required; a strong academic record is preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL for database querying is a plus (training provided).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
