Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and processing of daily equity options data from multiple market data providers.
- Support the development and maintenance of dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to visualize option chain trends and volatility surfaces.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights for the trading desk.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to understand option pricing models and assist in back-testing strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of data pipelines and analytical methodologies.
- Monitor real-time market movements and provide weekly summary reports on key indices and option volumes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (graduating seniors and recent graduates welcome).
- Familiarity with SQL and basic data querying concepts is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is mandatory.
- Basic understanding of financial markets, specifically equity options, calls, and puts is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
