Responsibilities
- Data Acquisition & Cleaning: Collect, process, and clean large datasets related to equity options, market indices, and historical price movements.
- Market Analysis: Assist in the development of statistical models to identify patterns and trends in equity and options markets.
- Dashboard Creation: Create intuitive, interactive dashboards using BI tools to visualize performance metrics for the trading desk.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports summarizing market data, helping to communicate findings to the investment committee.
- Research Support: Conduct preliminary research on new financial instruments and market sectors to support the trading team's strategy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Graduates welcome).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot Tables) and a willingness to learn SQL or Python.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong aptitude for numbers, logic, and data interpretation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex data simply.
- Interest in Finance: Demonstrated interest or knowledge of the stock market and options trading is a major plus.
