As a Junior Data Analyst, you will work alongside experienced mentors to develop your skills in data collection, cleaning, and visualization. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather raw data from various sources and perform rigorous cleaning to ensure accuracy and integrity for analysis.
- Reporting Support: Assist senior analysts in generating standard business reports and identifying trends within the datasets.
- Visualization: Create clear, intuitive dashboards and charts using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Database Assistance: Perform basic queries and data extraction tasks using SQL databases under supervision.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of data sources, methodologies, and analysis processes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex data findings into plain English for non-technical team members and clients.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) is required.
- SQL Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL concepts (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN) is a significant plus but not mandatory.
- Analytical Mindset: A keen eye for detail and the ability to spot errors or anomalies in data sets.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Soft Skills: A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
