Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events in real-time SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Triage incoming tickets and security incidents, ensuring all activities are documented according to SLAs.
- Conduct log analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities, malicious activity, or policy violations.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of security monitoring tools and dashboards.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises as directed.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure patch management and configuration best practices are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and OSI models.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+).
