Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar.
- Perform basic vulnerability assessments and assist in patch management processes.
- Conduct security audits and generate detailed compliance reports for stakeholders.
- Assist in the implementation of organizational security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure system integrity and network safety.
- Document security incidents and assist in root cause analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, OSI Model).
- Familiarity with security concepts such as encryption, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus but not required.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills.
