Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM alerts to identify potential threats and anomalies in real-time.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security incidents, documenting findings and escalating issues as necessary.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support the patch management process to mitigate known risks.
- Participate in security awareness training campaigns and help educate employees on best practices.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, antivirus software, and other security tools.
- Conduct regular audits of network configurations to ensure adherence to security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- CompTIA Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001 is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
