Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in penetration testing activities.
- Manage firewall rules and ensure network security protocols are strictly followed.
- Assist in the implementation of security policies and compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA).
- Perform daily log analysis and threat hunting activities to identify potential risks.
- Document security incidents and create detailed reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, Network+, or CompTIA IT Fundamentals are a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command line interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
