Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events in real-time within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Assist in the identification and containment of cybersecurity incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support under senior supervision.
- Document incident reports, security logs, and system configurations accurately.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden system defenses.
- Participate in red team and blue team exercises to improve organizational resilience.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Strong interest in networking, operating systems, and data security.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP protocols, and common network topologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work rotating shifts and weekends as required by the SOC schedule.
- Eagerness to obtain industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+) within 12 months.
