Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and log data using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Assist in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing engagements
- Document security incidents and participate in mock breach response drills
- Implement basic security controls under senior analyst guidance
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
- Support compliance initiatives (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred)
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written communication abilities
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification (training provided)
