Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Assist in incident response and investigation of security breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under guidance
- Document security procedures and create incident reports
- Collaborate with SOC team to implement security controls
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulations
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred in IT/CS
- CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
