Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Assist in incident response procedures and security incident documentation
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under supervision
- Support compliance audits for NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR frameworks
- Analyze network traffic patterns using Wireshark and similar tools
- Participate in security awareness training campaigns
- Document security policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or commitment to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Valid U.S. work authorization required
