Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Participate in incident response procedures under guidance
- Document security events and maintain accurate logs
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and patch management
- Learn and apply NIST cybersecurity frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams on security awareness initiatives
- Participate in tabletop exercises and simulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; cybersecurity certifications preferred (CompTIA Security+, CEH)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
