Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Document and escalate security incidents according to NIST frameworks
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Assist in implementing security controls for cloud and on-premise environments
- Participate in threat hunting and forensic investigations
- Generate security reports for client stakeholders
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
