Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across enterprise infrastructure to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and perform basic penetration testing exercises under senior supervision.
- Assist in the investigation and remediation of security incidents and malware analysis.
- Manage and configure SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools to ensure 24/7 visibility.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
- Document security procedures, incident reports, and system configurations for compliance audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust security protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Completion of foundational cybersecurity certifications such as Security+ or Network+ is a plus.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking fundamentals, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Basic scripting knowledge in Python or PowerShell is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be willing to obtain relevant security clearances as required.
