Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic logs to identify potential security anomalies and intrusions.
- Assist in the execution of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
- Respond to and document security incidents in accordance with established protocols.
- Support the implementation of security patches and updates across the organization's infrastructure.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for internal staff to mitigate social engineering risks.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to develop incident response playbooks and security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and OSI model.
- Familiarity with security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.
- Understanding of common malware types and threat vectors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing to obtain Security+ or equivalent certification within 6 months of hire.
