Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to internal employees via phone, email, and in-person, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Monitor and manage the Help Desk ticketing system to ensure timely response and resolution of service requests.
- Perform routine system updates, patch management, and security checks to maintain network integrity.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to troubleshoot complex network issues and escalate tickets appropriately.
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi connectivity and local area network (LAN) problems.
- Document all technical procedures and maintain accurate logs of support tickets and hardware inventory.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware components (CPU, RAM, Hard Drives) and operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS).
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, and Wi-Fi configuration.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users clearly.
- Willingness to obtain relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) within 12 months of hire.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work occasional on-site support shifts.
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail.
