Responsibilities
- Provide First-Level Support: Assist end-users with hardware and software troubleshooting via phone, email, and in-person.
- Asset Management: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Incident Logging: Accurately document and track all IT tickets in our helpdesk system to ensure efficient issue resolution.
- Network Assistance: Support junior IT staff in maintaining local area networks (LAN) and ensuring connectivity.
- Training Completion: Actively participate in and complete all required technical training modules and certifications.
- User Education: Educate staff on best practices for IT security and software usage.
- On-Site Support: Travel to client sites within Durham to resolve complex technical issues when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows, macOS, and networking concepts.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse teams.
- Willingness to Learn: A proactive attitude towards acquiring new technical skills and certifications.
- Reliability: Ability to adhere to schedules and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
