Job Summary:
As an IT Support Trainee, you will work under the guidance of senior technicians to resolve technical issues, maintain computer systems, and provide exceptional customer service to our employees. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to break into the tech industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software technical issues for end-users.
- Perform routine maintenance on desktops, laptops, and peripherals (printers, scanners).
- Support local area network (LAN) connectivity and troubleshoot Wi-Fi issues.
- Document all technical support tickets and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
- Participate in daily training sessions to build technical knowledge and certifications.
- Respond to incoming support requests via phone and email in a professional manner.
- Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science or IT is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer navigation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Orlando area for on-site support.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and obtaining IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
