Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events via SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic) to identify potential threats and malicious activity.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and log analysis to uncover hidden vulnerabilities.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts during security breaches, ensuring rapid containment and recovery.
- Manage and tune security information and event management (SIEM) correlations rules to reduce false positives.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security assessments for executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security patches and remediate infrastructure weaknesses.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threat intelligence and security trends.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a SOC or Security Analyst role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; CISSP, GCIH, or CISA certification is a strong plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and firewall technologies.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with Splunk, Python, or Bash scripting for automation.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
- Availability: Must be available to start immediately (0-2 weeks).
