Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response including containment, eradication, and recovery activities
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze malware and attack patterns to enhance threat detection capabilities
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar environment
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network security technologies
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with incident response protocols and threat hunting methodologies
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions during security incidents
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders
