Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, biotechnology, and AI convergence
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Anticipate emerging regulatory frameworks and ethical implications of 2026 technologies
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present future-vision frameworks to C-suite executives and board members
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Author quarterly industry disruption reports for executive decision-making
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or technology foresight with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record developing 5+ year technology roadmaps for complex ecosystems
- Expertise in quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI development principles
- Certification in Futures Studies or Strategic Foresight (preferred)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed innovation journals
- Experience securing multi-million dollar innovation grants
- Deep understanding of emerging regulatory landscapes (FDA, FCC, EU AI Act)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex futures to stakeholders
