Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 5-year strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Translate future-vision into actionable product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry pioneers
- Present future outlooks to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and narrative storytelling
- Anticipate ethical implications of emerging technologies and develop responsible innovation guidelines
- Mentor innovation teams in applying futures-thinking methodologies to current projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, Technology Strategy, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years in strategic foresight, R&D leadership, or emerging technology roles
- Proven track record of implementing future-back strategies with measurable business impact
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies, trend analysis, and scenario planning frameworks
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience working in agile, cross-cultural environments with remote-first operations
- Portfolio demonstrating previous foresight projects or innovation roadmaps
