Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) with transformative potential for 2026
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with 5-year strategic objectives and market disruption forecasts
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Analyze geopolitical and socioeconomic trends to anticipate technology adoption barriers and opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and secure cross-functional buy-in
- Establish innovation frameworks for evaluating technology ROI and ethical implications
- Build and maintain relationships with venture capitalists, startups, and academic institutions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Management, Computer Science, or related field; PhD preferred
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching technology initiatives with $5M+ budgets
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (AI, blockchain, IoT, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Experience developing technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Certifications in technology forecasting or innovation management (e.g., CTO, CISSP)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful technology commercialization or disruption
