Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects in quantum computing, AI, and biotechnology
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate emerging technologies into product roadmaps
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging technologies
- Present strategic recommendations to investors and board members
- Mentor junior researchers and foster innovation through hackathons and incubators
- Secure partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with 5+ in emerging tech
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record in commercializing breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, or sustainable tech
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding or venture capital
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or major tech conferences
- Strong network connections in Silicon Valley and global tech ecosystems
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences
