- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board members with data-driven risk assessments
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Represent company at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, Davos) to establish thought leadership
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with demonstrated impact on commercializing emerging tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- Published research in quantum computing, AI ethics, or climate tech (IEEE/ACM journals)
- Proven track record securing $10M+ in government/private innovation grants
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Experience leading teams of 50+ engineers across 3+ continents
