Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with emerging trends (quantum, bio-digital convergence, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives for next-gen computing platforms
- Analyze market disruptions and competitive threats through scenario modeling
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite and investor stakeholders
- Oversee patent portfolios and intellectual property strategy
- Mentor emerging technologists in future-focused skill development
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, AI ethics, Web3, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching future-ready products/services
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (whitepapers, patents)
- Experience scaling technical teams across distributed environments
- Certification in emerging technology foresight methodologies preferred
