Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps for 2026-2030, prioritizing R&D initiatives in quantum-resistant cryptography and autonomous systems
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align engineering, product, and business teams on future-state architectures
- Produce forward-looking impact assessments for emerging technologies (e.g., neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Build strategic partnerships with research institutions and government agencies to secure early access to breakthrough technologies
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations at industry conferences
- Mentor junior strategists in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or futurism with Fortune 500 or high-growth tech companies
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Deep expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, horizon scanning)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or similar innovation ecosystems
- Published author or speaker at TED/WSJ Future of Tech events
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, Techsourcing)
