- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and product teams to translate futuristic concepts into actionable development roadmaps
- Present innovation frameworks and future-state scenarios to C-suite executives and key stakeholders
- Manage a $2M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Build and mentor a high-performing innovation lab team of 8-12 specialists
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers to accelerate R&D
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation or R&D leadership with proven track record of launching breakthrough products
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., generative AI, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology)
- Strong strategic planning skills with ability to develop 5-year technology roadmaps
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in agile and waterfall environments
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism (patents, white papers, or conference keynotes)
- Proficiency in innovation frameworks (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Technology Readiness Levels)
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaboration projects
