Responsibilities
- Develop High-Performance Trading Systems: Architect and code low-latency software solutions for equity options execution and risk management.
- Algorithm Implementation: Collaborate with quantitative analysts to translate complex mathematical models into efficient C++ and Python code.
- Night Shift Operations: Monitor system health, execute maintenance tasks, and troubleshoot critical infrastructure during off-peak hours to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Data Integrity: Design robust data pipelines to ingest and process real-time market data for options pricing.
- Security & Compliance: Implement strict security protocols to protect sensitive financial data and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously profile and optimize database queries and network protocols to reduce latency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of software engineering experience, preferably within the financial services or high-frequency trading (HFT) sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in C++ (preferred) or Java, with strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial markets, specifically Equity Options, derivatives, or fixed income.
- Protocol Knowledge: Familiarity with FIX Protocol, FIXml, or other financial messaging standards.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work the Night Shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
