Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain low-latency trading systems for equity options pricing and execution
- Collaborate with quants to implement Black-Scholes and exotic derivative models
- Optimize real-time risk calculations for option positions and portfolios
- Design scalable APIs connecting trading platforms with market data feeds
- Implement rigorous testing protocols for trading algorithms in production environments
- Lead code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
- Mentor junior engineers on financial software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MS preferred)
- 5+ years experience in C++/Java/Python for financial systems
- Deep understanding of equity options pricing models and market conventions
- Proficiency with Linux, TCP/IP, and low-latency networking
- Experience with FIX protocol and exchange connectivity
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) for trading infrastructure
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex financial algorithms
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA) for trading systems
