Responsibilities
- Analyze High-Volume Data: Monitor and analyze complex equity options data feeds to identify trends, anomalies, and potential market risks during weekend trading sessions.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Perform rigorous quality control checks on option pricing, volume, and open interest data to maintain 99.9% accuracy.
- Generate Reports: Create detailed, actionable daily and weekly reports for the quantitative research team, highlighting key metrics and deviations.
- Collaborate with Trading Teams: Partner with equity traders and risk management to provide timely insights and data support for strategic decision-making.
- Maintain Systems: Assist in the maintenance and optimization of internal databases and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) used for weekend analytics.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all data processing adheres to relevant financial regulations and internal compliance standards.
- Documentation: Document data processes and analytical methodologies to ensure knowledge transfer and process consistency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial sector or equity derivatives market.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for complex querying, Python or R for data manipulation, and experience with data visualization tools.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options, Greeks, and market mechanics (calls, puts, spreads, straddles).
- Work Schedule: Availability to work a dedicated Weekend Shift (e.g., Saturday and Sunday) with flexibility for evening shifts if required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot subtle data discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
