Responsibilities
- Equity Options Analysis: Process and analyze large volumes of equity options data to identify trends, pricing anomalies, and market opportunities.
- Weekend Operations: Support weekend trading desks by generating real-time reports and maintaining data integrity for European and Asian market overlaps.
- Data Modeling: Assist in developing and testing statistical models to forecast options volatility and pricing.
- SQL & Data Mining: Write complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform raw data from multiple sources into actionable insights.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Quantitative Research team to validate findings and refine trading algorithms.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of data anomalies and processing errors for weekend operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services or equity options sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and Python (Pandas, NumPy). Experience with Tableau or PowerBI is required.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options, derivatives, and basic financial market mechanics.
- Availability: Must be available to work a full-time weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot data inconsistencies and ensure high data accuracy.
