Responsibilities
- Analyze large volumes of equity options data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in pricing and volume.
- Generate and validate complex weekend reporting packages for the executive trading desk and risk management teams.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and Excel to extract, clean, and transform financial datasets into actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the market data team to troubleshoot data feed issues and ensure 100% data integrity.
- Prepare end-of-week reconciliation reports to ensure accuracy across all open positions and contracts.
- Maintain and update internal documentation regarding data methodologies and reporting standards.
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support during critical market events to assist in quick decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst within the financial services sector, specifically with equity options or derivatives.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Deep understanding of financial markets, specifically equity options, Greeks, and volatility modeling.
- Proven ability to work effectively during weekend shifts and independently with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus.
