Responsibilities
- Monitor and Reconcile Equity Options Data: Perform end-of-week reconciliation of trades and market data across major exchanges to ensure 100% data accuracy.
- Analyze Market Volatility: Evaluate weekend market movements and implied volatility indices to identify trends and anomalies in options pricing.
- Generate High-Level Reports: Develop comprehensive weekly performance reports for the Options Trading desk, highlighting key metrics, P&L, and risk exposures.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Validate incoming data feeds and troubleshoot discrepancies in real-time to ensure seamless operations for the upcoming week.
- Collaborate with Trading Teams: Work closely with quantitative analysts and software engineers to optimize data pipelines and reporting tools.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure all data handling processes strictly adhere to SEC and FINRA compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the equity options or derivatives sector.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and advanced Excel modeling.
- Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of equity options mechanics, the Greeks, volatility surfaces, and market structure.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and a rigorous approach to data validation and reconciliation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
