We are seeking a highly analytical Equity Options Data Analyst to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of equity options data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for our quantitative researchers and traders. Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and model massive datasets from equity options markets, including exchange-traded and OTC data.
- Develop and maintain automated ETL pipelines to ensure real-time data availability for trading desks.
- Design interactive dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to visualize volatility surfaces, Greeks, and open interest trends.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to validate and refine pricing models based on historical data patterns.
- Identify data anomalies and discrepancies to prevent trading errors and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Create weekly performance reports and market analysis summaries for senior leadership.
- Maintain and optimize SQL databases used for high-frequency data retrieval.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services or trading sector.
- Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL.
- Deep understanding of options pricing theories (Black-Scholes, Binomial trees) and market mechanics.
- Experience working with financial data feeds (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or proprietary APIs).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a strong sense of ownership.
