We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Equity Options Data Analyst to join our growing team in Washington, D.C. In this part-time position, you will be instrumental in transforming complex market data into actionable insights that drive our trading strategies. You will work closely with our quantitative research team to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our options pricing models and market analytics.
As a key member of our analytics team, you will bridge the gap between raw financial data and strategic decision-making, leveraging advanced data techniques to support our operations in the competitive options market.

Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large-scale equity options data from multiple exchanges and data providers.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to automate data extraction and processing pipelines.
- Analyze options pricing data, including implied volatility, Greeks, and open interest trends, to identify market inefficiencies.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations (using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools) to present complex data findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to support risk management and strategy development.
- Monitor market events and news to assess potential impacts on option pricing and volatility surfaces.
- Ensure all data reporting meets regulatory compliance and internal quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services, options trading, or quantitative research sectors.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with options trading concepts (Calls, Puts, Straddles, Spreads, Greeks, Black-Scholes model).
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.
