Responsibilities
- Market Data Processing: Collect, clean, and validate high-volume equity options data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy for our trading algorithms.
- Model Development: Assist in the development and testing of quantitative models used to price and hedge equity options.
- Visualization: Create dynamic dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or PowerBI to present complex market trends to the quantitative research team.
- SQL & Database Management: Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets, optimizing database performance where necessary.
- Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly performance reports on volatility surfaces and Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega) for internal stakeholders.
- Research Support: Conduct independent research on market anomalies and historical option pricing data to identify profitable trading opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services or options trading sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options, Black-Scholes models, and the Greeks.
- Tools: Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is highly preferred.
- Availability: Must be available to work a part-time schedule (e.g., 20-25 hours per week).
