Responsibilities
- Analyze Equity Options Data: Monitor and analyze large datasets of equity options trades to identify market trends, volume spikes, and pricing discrepancies.
- Data Cleaning and Validation: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of incoming market data by identifying and correcting errors in real-time.
- Generate Reports: Create detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports for stakeholders regarding options market activity and performance metrics.
- Support Trading Operations: Provide technical support and data insights to the trading floor during night operations to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Database Management: Maintain and optimize internal databases to ensure efficient retrieval of options-related information.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services or equity options sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis. Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of equity options, derivatives, and basic pricing models (e.g., Black-Scholes).
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM or similar).
