Responsibilities
- Monitor Market Data: Continuously track and validate real-time equity options market data feeds to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform deep-dive analysis on option chains, implied volatility surfaces, and Greeks to identify trading opportunities.
- Data Engineering: Develop and maintain automated ETL pipelines and SQL queries to process large datasets efficiently.
- Collaboration: Partner with the trading desk to provide actionable insights and support for strategic decision-making.
- Anomaly Detection: Identify and report data discrepancies or unusual market behavior in the options market.
- Reporting: Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or PowerBI to communicate complex data findings.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices adhere to relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within financial markets or derivatives.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools (Tableau or PowerBI).
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of options pricing models, market terminology, and equity derivatives.
- Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
