Responsibilities
- Advanced Data Processing: Extract, clean, and analyze massive datasets of equity options and derivatives using Python, SQL, and R to identify market trends and pricing anomalies.
- Dashboard Development: Design and maintain interactive dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI) to visualize volatility surfaces, Greeks, and exposure metrics for the trading floor.
- Risk Modeling: Assist in the development and validation of quantitative models used for pricing options and assessing market risk.
- Strategic Reporting: Produce high-level reports and presentations for senior management, translating complex data into actionable business intelligence.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with IT to improve data pipelines and ensure the seamless integration of new financial data feeds.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Python (Pandas, NumPy), SQL, and statistical analysis libraries.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in financial data analysis, specifically within equity options, derivatives, or commodities markets.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and derive meaningful insights from unstructured data.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
