Responsibilities
- Equity Options Analysis: Analyze large-scale equity options data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in market volatility and implied volatility (IV).
- Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI to visualize complex option chains and Greeks.
- Data Modeling: Build and validate statistical models to forecast option pricing movements and assess risk exposure across various equity indices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with trading desks and portfolio managers to provide data-driven recommendations that align with business objectives.
- SQL & ETL: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various market data vendors, ensuring data integrity and consistency in our internal warehouses.
- Performance Reporting: Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly performance reports highlighting key metrics, P&L drivers, and market sentiment analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial services or equity derivatives sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and strong programming skills in Python or R.
- Financial Knowledge: Deep understanding of equity options, the Black-Scholes model, Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Vega, Theta), and market microstructure.
- Visualization: Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) or visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
