We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Equity Options Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Baltimore, MD. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between complex market data and actionable trading strategies, leveraging your expertise in SQL, Python, and financial modeling to drive profitability and risk management.

Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of equity options pricing, volume, and open interest data to support trading strategies and improve execution.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to visualize market movements and risk exposure in real-time for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the quantitative research team to develop statistical models for volatility forecasting and implied probability calculations.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by cleaning, validating, and transforming large datasets from multiple sources.
- Generate comprehensive weekly and monthly performance reports that highlight key insights and anomalies to the executive team.
- Identify and communicate emerging market patterns to the trading desk to capitalize on short-term opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the financial services or equities trading sector.
- Proficiency in SQL for complex querying and data extraction; strong programming skills in Python or R are highly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA/Macros) and experience with data visualization tools.
- Deep understanding of equity options, derivatives, and Black-Scholes modeling concepts.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear business insights.
