Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate equity options data from various market sources and exchange APIs.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) trade and quote data.
- Assist in building interactive dashboards using Python (Pandas, Matplotlib) or Tableau to visualize market depth and implied volatility.
- Conduct preliminary statistical analysis to identify short-term volatility patterns and trading opportunities.
- Collaborate with the trading desk to provide timely data-backed recommendations and market summaries.
- Monitor data feeds for anomalies and ensure the integrity of the internal database.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Familiarity with equity markets and a basic understanding of options (Calls, Puts, Straddles, Greeks).
- Proficiency in SQL (JOINs, subqueries, window functions) and a strong working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy) is a significant plus but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies.
