Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Equity Options Data Analyst to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex market data and actionable trading strategies. You will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, developing predictive models, and providing critical insights that drive our equity derivatives portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large-scale equity options data sets to identify market trends, volatility patterns, and arbitrage opportunities.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, or custom Python visualizations) to monitor real-time market movements.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and traders to refine pricing models and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data feeds from various exchanges and data providers.
- Automate reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Produce comprehensive weekly and monthly reports for executive stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Finance (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial services or equity derivatives sectors.
- Expert proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL.
- Deep understanding of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial Trees) and the calculation of Greeks.
- Strong experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
