Responsibilities
- Analyze large volumes of equity options market data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in pricing and volume.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, clean, and transform data from various sources, including Bloomberg and internal databases.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations (using Tableau or PowerBI) to present data insights to senior management and trading desks.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to monitor exposure and validate pricing models.
- Conduct statistical analysis on implied volatility and Greeks to support hedging strategies.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting systems.
- Stay updated on industry news and regulatory changes affecting equity options trading.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, specifically within the financial services or equity options sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.
- Strong command of SQL for database querying and manipulation.
- Experience with financial data terminals (Bloomberg Terminal preferred) and knowledge of options pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial).
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
