Responsibilities
- Data Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest high-frequency equity options data from exchanges and vendors (e.g., CBOE, NYSE, Bloomberg).
- Market Analysis: Analyze options flow, identify unusual activity, and calculate key Greeks (Delta, Gamma, Theta, Vega) to support trading desk decisions.
- Modeling: Develop statistical models to forecast volatility and identify market inefficiencies based on historical options data.
- Visualization: Create interactive dashboards and reports using Python/SQL tools to visualize complex market trends for stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all datasets used for analysis.
- Reporting: Generate daily/weekly equity options market reports highlighting key events and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity options pricing models (Black-Scholes), market terminology, and the options trading lifecycle.
- Tools: Experience with financial data APIs and tools such as Bloomberg Terminal, Refinitiv Eikon, or Interactive Brokers API.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex data anomalies and derive insights from unstructured or semi-structured data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
